Being taught to stay away from drugs and alcohol is drilled into us from childhood: yet addiction and abuse is something that can creep up on you before you realise.
Growing up is tricky – with the constant pressure to fit in and be accepted by society.
When drugs and alcohol get thrown into the mix, you can find yourself doing things you know aren’t healthy but, at the time, can feel like the only way to be accepted.
“If your friends are pressuring you to do drugs, they’re not that good friends.”
