Once again in 2024, your support changed thousands of lives – 5,681 to be exact.
But behind the big numbers are individual children and young people who are safe from the streets, home with their families, back in education and looking forward to a happier, more secure future today – because of you.
From every child, young person and family that your support has helped, thank you!
In India:
You protected 3,308 children and 829 families at risk across four transport hubs and seven communities…
…children like 10-year-old Kaafi*, who we met at Delhi’s busy railway station.
He had been forced to work long hours with no pay for ten months before – tired, scared and missing his family – he ran away.
Thanks to you, we were able to protect Kaafi before he came to any more harm, and reunite him with his family, who were overjoyed to have him back.

In Tanzania:
You reintegrated 300 vulnerable children into protective family settings – whether this was with their own family or with ‘Fit Persons’ in a family home…
…children like 10-year-old Safara*, who, on her way to Dar es Salaam to carry out domestic work to support her family, she lost the contact information of her employer, and was left lost and alone at the busy bus station.
But thanks to you, we were there to protect Safara, and temporarily place her with a Fit Person, in a safe, loving family environment, until we could trace her family and reunite them.

In the UK:
You enabled 186 young people and their families to move forward together through a combination of one-off welfare visits, short-term interventions and longer-term, focused support…
…young people like 15-year-old Dante*, who had been living in a cold, drafty loft with no windows or ventilation, and struggled to attend school.
Thanks to you we were able to be there for Dante as he moved into foster care, and support him as he studied for – and passed – his GCSEs, applied for an apprenticeship – and got it!

Will you continue to change the lives of the children and families we work with?
*Names have been changed and models used to protect identities.
Your money will be used wherever the need is greatest to support children across India, Tanzania and the UK.
