Thales Ground Transportation Systems and Railway Children have worked together for more than 10 years. During this period Thales have supported Railway Children through employee fundraising, sponsorship of the Railway Ball and grants to develop digital communication channels.

This collaboration has helped raise funds and awareness for Railway Children and has also increased the profile of Thales within the transport sector.

A significant number of employees have supported the partnership over many years, demonstrating a strong commitment and affinity with the charity and our work.

Thales digital expertise and their provision of funds to develop the charity website has allowed us to make significant improvements to our supporters’ online experiences. In 2012, we were able to launch an entirely new website and following a user experience analysis funded by Thales in 2013, we have been able to make further significant improvements to the front end experience and technical architecture of the Railway Children website throughout 2014.

In order to maximise this generous investment, Railway Children have developed a digital communications strategy that will enable us to meet key business objectives in support of fundraising and awareness. During the next twelve months, we will be implementing further developments such as the creation of an ‘advice hub’ to communicate more detailed information and advice on the safeguarding of vulnerable children in the UK to key audiences.

"Thales are proud to have supported the development of such an essential communication tool for the charity. The new website has enabled Railway Children to raise even more awareness of the issue of vulnerable children on the streets and gain greater support for their vital work. We are currently working together to explore more ways to develop the partnership which is a very exciting time for us both."
