Swap your warm bed at home for the cold floor of a railway station for just one night and help us raise awareness as well as vital funds to support the hundreds of children who face this ordeal every day around the world.

This event made a huge impact earlier this year so we’re bringing it back and expanding to even more locations for 2020. So many people from across the rail industry and beyond signed up and joined us last time, that we’ve now involved nine stations across the country. Find the sleepout station nearest to you and grab your sleeping bag – this fundraiser is so simple you can do it in your sleep.

What to expect

You'll have to be prepared for a cold, uncomfortable night but you will at least have a roof over your head, warm food and drink, and the companionship of your friends and colleagues.

What to bring

- A sleeping bag and pillow

- Warm clothes (we recommend lots of light layers)

- Your mobile phone so you can share your experience on social media and help raise more awareness

What's included

- Railway Children branded beanie hat

- Refreshments throughout the night

This event isn’t designed to replicate the situations faced by the children we work with, but it will raise awareness of the issues and we know that the more we can do that, more we can do, together, to make a difference in the lives of children who need us.

Event timings

8pm - 8.30pm: Arrival and sign-in

9pm: Welcome from Railway Children

6am - 7am: Refreshments served and event closes
